The DC Universe, designated 017, merged with the Marvel Universe, designated A13. But the Justice League vanished completely, while all the supervillains ended up in Marvel.
To make up for this mistake, fragment 017 of the world’s consciousness got down to some diligent work.
In New York, he played Batman, bought a plot of land and named it Gotham, then caught the Joker, who had been causing trouble at Avengers Tower, and locked him up in the newly built asylum.
Wearing Clark Kent’s face, he worked as a reporter for the Daily Bugle, teaming up with a certain friendly neighborhood New Yorker to do good deeds.
As Barry Allen, he started over as a beat cop, sometimes putting on his uniform to rescue a professor in a wheelchair who couldn’t move.
In short, 017 turned his suffering into motivation and worked diligently.
But the Avengers and the X-Men were all thinking: Something’s not right. They must be part of some organization.
017 hastily shook his head. “We’re not part of an organization! We’re innocent!”
Then he turned around and saw the Watchtower appear in the sky, and out in space.
The Justice League superheroes, restored to the world: “Who are you people?”
They stared at each other. 017: “...Actually, I’m, um, from the neighboring universe.”
P.S. No CP. The timelines are all mixed together.
