The Male Lead Wants Me to Love Him Every Day

Actress Chi Yi transmigrates into the role of a supporting female character saddled with a cannon-fodder fate. She's hopelessly in love with the male lead, Jiang Yu. She's willing to be his substitute, his devoted admirer, and his shield, even marrying him. When the heroine eventually returns, Chi Yi completes a series of troublemaking tasks before meeting a tragic end. The System tells her that if she keeps up her persona and continues throwing herself at him, she can earn a hundred billion and fake her death to retire. Chi Yi readily agrees: "Deal." * After being rushed to the hospital with severe chest pain, Jiang Yu is told that he's been bound to a System. "As long as you win Chi Yi's love, your health will remain good for a long time. Otherwise, you'll die an untimely death." Jiang Yu scoffs. "Chi Yi's love? Are you sure?" * The night he's discharged, Jiang Yu unexpectedly comes home and calls Chi Yi over. "Do you love me?" Chi Yi looks at him with eyes full of love. "Of course I do." Jiang Yu looks at her coldly and laughs scornfully. Chi Yi's love? That was too easy. The next second, Jiang Yu hears the System's icy notification: "Affection score: -5. Current base affection score: 15." The glass of water nearly slips from Jiang Yu's hand. * At a press conference, everyone is waiting for the couple to announce their divorce, since the news was released well in advance. Throughout Chi Yi and Jiang Yu's two-year marriage, people have checked in every day to see when they would get divorced. A woman like Chi Yi doesn't deserve him. But after the press conference ends, Jiang Yu still hasn't announced their divorce. A reporter reminds him, "President Jiang, is there something you've forgotten to say?" Jiang Yu, already on his feet, thinks for a moment, then bends down to pick up the microphone. "I hope everyone will support my wife's new drama. Thank you." Netizens: What the hell? * What shocks netizens even more is when, backstage at an awards ceremony, they see Jiang Yu, usually aloof, cold, and impossibly refined, pinning Chi Yi against a wall. His voice is weak and pleading. "What will it take for you to love me?" *This is the core premise. I'll flesh out the details later. Theme: Love life
