Updates resume after I finish the story about not competing with the White Lotus Junior Brother.

/Blurb/

Yao Qiqi is the only granddaughter of a distinguished official who served two dynasties. She's the apple of her family's eye, and yet she falls in love at first sight with a scholar, or rather, with his face.

But aside from his handsome face, the scholar Lin Jiyu has nothing going for him.

Before Yao Qiqi can confess her feelings to the scholar, her grandfather marries her off to a general's household. Before long, one of the concubines poisons her to death.

Yao Qiqi closes her eyes, remembering the last time she saw Lin Jiyu. He looked into her eyes and said firmly, "Qiqi, my heart belongs to you."

If only she could live again, if only...

Lin Jiyu has been exceptionally clever since childhood, though his family is poor.

After ten days of hard study, he finally gets the chance to seek an official post in Yandu, but he meets a young woman at Ningyin Temple.

She is as thin as a sheet of paper, liable to topple over in the slightest breeze. She is simply... so lovable.

Lin Jiyu secretly resolves to marry Yao Qiqi.

Enough talk. First, he needs to act pitiful so she'll notice him.

[Sweet romance / Heroine is two years older and reborn / Hero is handsome-faced, black-hearted, and afraid of his wife]
