Lin'an Pavilion

The young sect master of Jinglin Sect, whose family was wiped out seven years ago, has returned. Yun Chuji, who vanished for seven years, is refined and upright, every bit the graceful gentleman, as gentle and clear as jade.

Yun Chuji is polite to everyone, but has no patience for Xia Shi'an, the young sect master of the Xia family. It is strange, really. Their families have been close friends for generations, and the two boys grew up together, with a bond even deeper than that between brothers.

Yet Yun Chuji acts as though he has forgotten all those years they spent growing up together. When Xia Shi'an speaks, he ignores him. Even when they discuss matters at the same table, Yun Chuji has someone bring in a screen to put between them...

Yun Chuji truly detests Xia Shi'an.

But then Xia Shi'an is struck by the Half-Life Bliss poison, and his family brings him to Yun Chuji. The Yun family is so furious their eyes turn red. No one should be humiliated like this!

Yet the refined sect master stares at the unconscious Xia Shi'an for a long while, then silently carries him inside and shuts the door.

Ahem, ahem. Don't get the top and bottom roles wrong because of that last sentence.
