A Checkered Past

[The synopsis is inspired by an idea for a danmei story I want to write, and has nothing to do with this novel's dark history.] The alpha researcher is refined and scholarly, and doesn't look like much of a fighter. His wife, on the other hand, is the commander of the First Legion, known as the "Rose of the Battlefield." The kind who carries a heavy cannon and jumps into a nest of insectoids to blow it up. The alpha is always worried his wife will find him too weak after they get married. He also can't understand why such a formidable omega would suddenly take an interest in him. So he secretly does a lot of research, hoping to give his wife an amazing experience on their wedding night. But... The alpha looks at the handcuffs and riding crop in his wife's hands and instinctively staggers back a step. His wife approaches with a smile. Gentle and tender. "Baby, how about we try something new?" -- The omega returns victorious from battle to meet with the crown prince. Passing by the research institute, he accidentally catches sight of an alpha so beautiful he hardly seems like an alpha at all. The man wears delicate gold-rimmed glasses and is fair-skinned and immaculate, with a refined air. His slender wrists and ankles make the omega want to hold them in his hands and play with them. The omega feels his warrior instincts stirred by the battlefield have awakened. Later, the omega looks down at the alpha from above. His eyes curve into a smile. "Baby, you're not tired, are you?" The alpha's face is bright red, though he still manages to look expressionless. After a long pause, he murmurs, "N-no, I'm not tired." P.S.: 1. Happy ending. 2. Sweet story with a weak seme and a strong uke. Theme: .
