When Bai Tao woke up, she discovered that her dream had become reality.
Alarm bells rang across the city. Her phone was full of missed calls and messages that kept popping up.
She opened her phone in a daze. Her mother told her to stay inside her own home and absolutely not go out.
Looking down from the window, she saw nothing but chaos and zombies everywhere.
But Bai Tao's only thought was,
"Ah, does this mean I don't have to pay my mortgage anymore..."
Growing radishes on the balcony, hitting zombies on the head with garbage bags, eating disgusting crows... Life in the early days of the apocalypse was actually pretty enjoyable.
But after all the effort it took to escape the apartment, each new stretch of the journey turned out to be more dangerous than the last.
And why was there a zombie following right behind her, anyway?!
The zombie smiled faintly at Bai Tao and handed her the supplies it had found with both hands.
Behind him lay one fallen zombie after another.
She really had escaped the name she was given: Bai, meaning white.
