Secret Lover

Xiamier is the secret lover of Parisstone, vice-chairman of the Hunter Association.

At the vice-chairman's arrangement, she married seven wealthy men in succession and inherited their fortunes, becoming richer than nations.

All seven of her husbands are dead, so her reputation is in tatters. Everyone who has seen her calls her a beautiful, bewitching Black Widow, like a ghostly temptress.

A black widow is a highly venomous spider.

Xiamier and Kulolo seem to have nothing in common besides both being known as spiders.

In truth, back when they were both nobodies, they were secretly involved and were each other's first love.

Years after their breakup, they meet again at the funeral of Xiamier's seventh husband.

A dangerous gaze suddenly appears behind her, fixed on her back. It leaves her nearly breathless, yet strangely familiar.

Xiamier glances aside and sees Kulolo in the distance.

When they meet again,

Kulolo reaches out to Xiamier with a sorrowful expression and says, "Please accept my condolences, Mrs. Stinov."

Xiamier also extends her hand, her expression sorrowful.

They exchange a polite, brief handshake, then immediately let go in tacit agreement, as though they were complete strangers.

Nothing like back then, when they were each other's lifeline, each other's reason to keep living...

After they meet again, Xiamier realizes that all these years, Kulolo has never once taken off the blue earrings she gave him.

Just as Xiamier resolves to break up with Parisstone and get back together with Kulolo,

Parisstone, who has plotted all kinds of schemes with her over the years, has no intention of letting her go.

Even the ant queen's egg they raised together is right there, crying to be fed and demanding that Xiamier not leave this home...

- The story begins in July 1998, before the original protagonist takes the Hunter Exam.
