In high school, Chen Bei was a notorious troublemaker: unruly and audacious, yet surprisingly good at her studies. Every teacher had a headache dealing with her.
Only Zhou Cheng, the refined and handsome top student in her class, could get close to her.
What everyone saw most often was Zhou Cheng quietly following Chen Bei, patiently binding her worksheets again and again, and bringing her stacks of handwritten notes on her mistakes. Even when she mocked him, he never backed down.
Just when everyone thought the two would end up together, Chen Bei left Zhou Cheng behind and went abroad.
2
After taking over part of her family's business, Chen Bei became a notorious little tyrant in the business world: ruthless, sharp, and with enemies all over.
Anyone negotiating with her had to keep their guard up, afraid she might unleash her temper.
The only person she showed any restraint with was Zhou Cheng, the tech tycoon hailed as a lofty, untouchable flower.
The eyes behind his gold-rimmed glasses were deep and calm, just like before. Looking at him for a little longer could put Chen Bei at ease.
3
Chen Bei knew Zhou Cheng loved her deeply. She toyed with him, letting him offer her his whole heart, then tossed him aside once she got bored, saying, "If you're good enough, come stand by my side."
Then she disappeared without a trace.
So Zhou Cheng took her at her word. Gritting his teeth, he made his way to her side step by step, then held her hand and made her keep her promise.
*SC
*The heroine is pretty awful and self-centered early on. If you don't have much patience for her, darlings, this isn't for you. Please don't insult the heroine.
*Feel free to check out my completed story next door, Her Hound.

When Jiang Zhaonan ran away from home at eighteen, she sat by the side of the road, licking an ice cream cone with a lost look on her face.
Halfway through the ice cream, Lu Fang, her classmate who was always spaced out and just coasting through life, picked her up and took her home.
The young man was tall and long-legged, with a gorgeous physique and skin that seemed to glow. There was a hint of languid carelessness in his smile. Jiang Zhaonan found him easy on the eyes, so she stayed at his place, eating his cooking for a whole year before she was finally satisfied enough to leave.
Before she left, she thoughtfully left him a large sum of money to show her gratitude for taking her in.
2
Lu Fang had been abandoned in A City by his father as a child. His father had never cared what he did, and apart from money, Lu Fang had nothing at all.
He'd always found life dull and spent his days drifting along, until he took pity on Jiang Zhaonan and picked her up by the roadside.
Jiang Zhaonan was terribly fussy. She wouldn't eat this or that, wouldn't use this or that, yet she had a mind of her own and a whole set of strange arguments. She was one precocious, impossibly clever little brat.
For her, he learned to cook and do housework. He learned how to take good care of someone and how to rein in his temper and coax her. He even forced himself to watch an entire educational TV series called How to Get Along with Gifted Children Aged 3-6, and mastered its lessons.
After a year of this, he suddenly felt that taking care of her forever might be rather nice.
But Jiang Zhaonan didn't feel the same. To her, Lu Fang was only a passerby in her long life. She was destined to pursue the halls of knowledge she longed for, so she left without a backward glance, leaving Lu Fang with nothing but an empty room.
3
After Jiang Zhaonan left, Lu Fang cursed her as an ungrateful wretch a thousand times over and learned to adjust to life without her.
When his friends asked about her, he would only reply coolly, "How deep can the bond between classmates who spent a year together really be?"
He wanted to save a little dignity for himself.
He did a good job. No one noticed anything strange, so well that even he thought he'd buried their entanglement deep in his heart.
But one night, when a call came through on a phone that had been silent for years, he couldn't voice the questions he'd asked himself a thousand times. The person on the other end said nothing, but his voice trembled, and only one thought filled his mind:
Jiang Zhaonan, have you been treated badly during all these years away?
A black-hearted genius girl x a refined, unruly slacker boy
*The heroine is a science and engineering prodigy with her own ideas and ambitions. She won't change them easily.
*They don't get together in high school, so this isn't a reunion after a breakup, but a reunion after a long separation. It starts on campus and moves to the city.
Theme: Independence and thorns
This ending is perfect. It ends with Chen Bei knowing his feelings and meeting Zhou Cheng until the end. The "status" that Zhou Cheng has always cared about is finally given to him. But Chen Bei is still the same Chen Bei, free and easy, and feels that everything is under her control. Although Zhou Cheng is the male protagonist, he also has shortcomings. He is too worried about gains and losses because he loves Chen Bei so much that he hates everything about himself. He feels that his love has stained Chen Bei. What a Bodhisattva with boundless love. After reading it again, you will feel that although Zhou Cheng loves Chen Bei very much, he is very passive in this relationship. If Chen Bei wants to be together, they will be together. If Chen Bei wants to kiss, he will kiss. If he wants to xx, then xx. In the end, he actually told Chen Bei that if he likes someone else in the future, he will leave. You can't fight for it on your own. No wonder Chen Bei is angry. Fortunately, Chen Bei told him this in the end. Changes must be made to keep Chen Bei. I like this novel also because Chen Bei is a sober and independent woman. Her life is my dream. I have always been confused. Once I have a goal, I will achieve it. When I reach the goal, I find that it is not what I want. I change without hesitation and I am not a love brain. A role model for contemporary human women.
Compared with the male and female protagonists, the story of Zhizhi and Zhou Mingjie touched me more. It was a regret of that era.
It made me laugh, Liu Zhaoyu, your program team is really poor! Zhou Xingxing, you are so obsessed with your status as the main palace hhh
When will you read "Rose Gun"? Want to see
It's so beautiful. The female host said it's amazing!
It's only an hour from London to Helsinki. Hahaha. How big is Europe in total?
I just bought the last chapter and wanted to ask... Is it finished?
Get on the boat, get on the boat (post nasal) Hey hey hey
