After Pretending to Date My Arch-Enemy

When Su Jiaming first received the invitation to "pretend to be a couple," he refused. For one thing, he had no good feelings toward Xu Yiwen, that arrogant, self-important elite. For another, he was straight and had absolutely no interest in men. But his own mother happened to be pressuring him to go on blind dates, so Su Jiaming steeled himself and accepted. Hiding his identity as a top agent, he moved into the Xu family home as Xu Yiwen's boyfriend. At first, Xu's father thought he lacked manners, Xu's mother thought he wasn't from the right background, and even Xu's young cousin, too innocent to understand much, kept her distance. But that was fine. First, Su Jiaming didn't care at all. Second, as the man known as the best, he was an expert at winning people over! When his cousin was bullied, he stepped in without hesitation and taught the bullies a lesson, leaving them terrified and apologizing over and over. When Xu's father was betrayed by a business partner, one phone call from Su Jiaming made the publisher back down and offer him a prestigious title. When Xu's mother was slandered, he quickly called in favors, clearing her name while securing a huge investment. After all that, Su Jiaming had become the perfect choice for the title of Most Devoted Daughter-in-Law! Just as he congratulated himself on having the Xu family wrapped around his finger and thought the mission could end perfectly, Xu Yiwen looked utterly baffled. "Pretend to be a couple? What a fun game! If you want to play, I'll play along." Su Jiaming was dumbfounded. At last, he realized that he was the one who'd been played. - Falling for Su Jiaming was the most selfish decision Xu Yiwen had ever made. He hated his parents' control, and hated even more the idea of growing up and starting a family according to their plans. He alone could decide who his partner would be. He knew his parents' temperaments and understood Su Jiaming's ways. He had planned this for two whole months. At last, on the day his parents called to urge him to go on a blind date, he set his plan in motion. With a meaningful smirk, Xu Yiwen booked a flight to Su Jiaming's apartment and rang the doorbell. "Are you insane?" Su Jiaming said, looking disgusted when he heard the invitation. "You came all the way here to see me. Don't tell me you're actually interested in me?" Brooding, scheming younger elite top x forthright, hot-tempered agent bottom Turning a straight man gay / enemies to lovers / contract dating / scheming and being schemed against / identity reveal / mother-in-law and daughter-in-law (not really).
