My Literary Film Is the Box Office Champion in the Interstellar Era

Qing Yao, a famous commercial film director and box-office sensation, hadn't even gotten the chance to make an art film and take a shot at winning an Oscar before she transmigrated into a sci-fi coming-of-age romance novel. Worse, she became the heroine, destined to star in a grand interstellar romance where he runs, she chases, and he can't escape even if he sprouts wings.

Qing Yao: ...

No thanks.

She said goodbye to the male lead, used what little money she had left to write an art-film script, and made a low-budget movie called V&W.

Qing Yao only wanted to win an award, but after its release, the film became the year's box-office champion and made two little-known actors famous.

Countless capitalists waved their money around, begging Qing Yao to make commercial films. She ignored them and kept making her art films.

It wasn't that Qing Yao was arrogant. Her last film had made so much money that the judges decided it couldn't be a proper art film.

The judges: With a box office that high, there's no way you made an art film!

Qing Yao: How is it my fault that it made so much money?

Qing Yao truly didn't understand. She clearly made art films, so why did everyone think she made commercial movies? Were art films not allowed to earn big money?

Later, Qing Yao finally realized that her movies weren't successful because they were art films. They were successful because her films could move people's hearts.
