Coming soon: "When the Fireworks Fall"
Lin Zhishui is perfect.
She excels at ballet and cello, is beautiful, and gets excellent grades. Her elegant neck and shoulders are said to be the most beautiful sight at Ning University.
Countless people admire and adore her. The rest hate her, some even boldly declaring:
"Once I get my hands on her, I'll rip off that mask of hers."
Chi Yan is wild.
He grew up rough and unruly, a dangerous and alluring presence who walks through the deepest mire.
They are both famous figures at Tinglan, known to everyone, but they are as far apart as heaven and earth, two parallel lines destined never to meet.
Yet the story begins in a way that takes everyone by surprise.
The girl everyone had placed on a pedestal follows Chi Yan quietly and willingly.
And Chi Yan doesn't give her a second glance, from beginning to end.
But someone clearly saw Chi Yan beat the living daylights out of the piece of garbage who had insulted Lin Zhishui.
The evening breeze ruffles the boy's black hair. Chi Yan sits astride his motorcycle, a rising fury in his eyes. "Don't fucking bother me again."
Lin Zhishui's eyes are clear and bright, her gaze calm and fearless.
She steps forward and takes hold of the second button on his shirt.
"But I miss you."
-
When Lin Zhishui was nine, her aunt left her at the Chi family's house.
The little girl was delicate and pretty, quiet and reserved. Only her trembling hands betrayed her unease.
The person who took her hand then was Chi Yan.
During the days they relied on each other, Lin Zhishui was quiet and well-behaved, doing her best to play the part of a harmless burden.
Only Chi Yan knew she was a wildcat that could never be tamed.
The day she left the Chi family, the proud, slender girl lifted her chin and said coolly:
"Chi Yan, I don't want to follow you anymore."
Years later, when they meet again, Chi Yan has dealt with the rotten peach blossoms pestering her. Extremely impatient, he says, "Didn't you say you wouldn't follow me anymore?"
Lin Zhishui is beautiful and aloof. Rain clings to her slightly curled hair, and her dark, damp eyes hold a gentleness that blooms only for Chi Yan.
She finishes the words she left unsaid when she walked away all those years ago.
"Because I want to hold you tight."
