The synopsis may be revised. I'll start posting once I have fifty thousand words saved up. 2024.04.9
I have a childhood friend. He's the son of the Tsushima family, the councilors next door. He's been frail and sickly since he was young, has a strange, withdrawn personality, and keeps attempting suicide every now and then. I really like him.
The night before I confessed, I had a bizarre, surreal dream.
A young man wearing a red scarf and a black suit lay in a coffin. His misty, blue-gray eyes were closed, and his face was peaceful, like a weary bird finally come home.
"Madam, please accept my condolences."
I jolted awake.
To avoid ending up a widow like in my dream, I thought long and hard and came up with three plans.
1. Find the book before Osamu does.
2. Stop Osamu from becoming the boss.
3. Make Osamu and Oda Sakunosuke friends.
After a lot of effort, I failed at the first two plans, but did a great job with the last one. I thought I should be able to get a Happy Ending.
Not long after, I received news that my husband had died.
Me, now a widow after all: "QAQ."
There was nothing I could do. The dead don't come back to life, so I could only inherit his estate through my tears...
"Kohayae, it's rare to see you cry."
Me: "...Huh?"

Everyone knows that a Port Mafia boss stepping down is usually accompanied by bloodshed and death.
If Yuzuhara Hayae, who was skilled in embalming, had known the truth, she would surely have realized that he had faked his death.
By the azure shore, the girl stared at him in a daze, her purplish eyes unblinking and, for once, rimmed with red.
Just as he was about to speak, his beloved wife pushed him back into the coffin.
Osamu Dazai: "...?"
-
"Before I met you, I never imagined my life could take this path."
Couple: A naturally cool and sweet young embalmer x a stubborn, eccentric young Port Mafia boss who always does as he pleases
