A Reborn Showbiz Novel

[Originally titled Kissing Everywhere. The title may be changed again later.]

Ji Ran died by suicide after suffering from depression. He fell from a building and was crushed beyond recognition.

Before his death, the internet had called him a competition show favorite, a terrible actor, and a diva who would do anything to steal a role. They accused him of sleeping with directors and fans, and called him a scourge on the entertainment industry.

After his death, public opinion did a complete about-face. People offered armfuls of gardenias in his memory and edited together highlight reels of his performances. Even the supporting roles that had once been harshly criticized were now praised for his natural talent.

The only thing that hadn't changed was his funeral: cold and deserted, with barely anyone in attendance.

The only person who came to pay his respects sneered at him. "Worthless."

The dead Ji Ran drifted along in a daze, mocking himself too. That was right. He was so worthless. He couldn't do anything well.

Suddenly, a clap of thunder.

Amid the downpour, a black umbrella appeared outside the mourning hall.

Beneath it stood a tall man in a black suit and mourning armband. His voice was calm and low. "If he's worthless, then what does that make you?"

When Ji Ran opened his eyes again, he discovered he had been reborn.

The famously aloof, abstinent, and unapproachable Best Actor Bai has a secret.

He likes a little dog that bristles up like a lion, with blond hair, pale skin, a carefree and bright personality, and foxlike eyes that curve when he smiles, both sly and beautiful.

He willingly lets the little dog trample him underfoot.
