Extreme Heartbeat [Infinite]

Dear Miss Guan Yan,

Please forgive my boldness. I have been sitting by your bed watching you all night. You were sleeping so soundly that I simply couldn’t bring myself to disturb you…

When Guan Yan woke up, the bedroom light was on, and there was a letter beside her pillow.

The moment she unfolded the letter, one bizarre and mysterious event after another began to unfold.

Within twenty minutes of leaving her home, she narrowly escaped a series of high-risk “accidents”: objects falling from above, power lines dropping, and a billboard crashing down. At last, she had no choice but to believe that her peaceful life had been turned upside down.

When she finally signed her name on the invitation

[Congratulations, Guan Yan, you are now an official guest at the Death Banquet. Follow the instructions in the letter and do your best to survive. Stay strong and live on!]

Mission One: Survive for a week.

Mission hint: Don’t let them discover that you can see them.

The main focus is the plot. The heroine is the strongest, and the hero is strong too. Otherwise, she’d have to be crazy to fall for him.

Content note: The hero is on the heroine’s team and gets less page time than she does. But he’s still a lead, so he won’t disappear for a long stretch.

An apocalypse-themed Infinite-flow story. If you’re interested, please add it to your reading list!

Synopsis:

When the extreme-cold apocalypse struck, a lack of supplies led Chu Zhen and her grandmother to be cruelly thrown out by their family. They froze to death in the bitter cold!

In the blink of an eye, Chu Zhen awoke in another apocalyptic world.

A godlike whisper sounded in her ear

[Dear survivor, would you like to be reborn, save your grandmother, and put an end to Earth’s extreme-cold apocalypse once and for all?]

[Do everything you can to complete missions in different apocalyptic worlds and gather enough [photons] to bring the dawn to your world!]

*Current main apocalypse mission: Survive for 120 days.

[Once the mission is complete, you can return to November 15, 2030.]

That was the third day after humanity realized the extreme-cold apocalypse had arrived.

As long as she completed the mission, Chu Zhen could return to the past, fight back against her cold-blooded family, and change the tragic fate she and her grandmother had suffered.

-

But when she finished the mission, exhausted and in a pitiful state, she was immediately thrown into another apocalypse.

Genetic mutations, paranormal entities, biological invasions…

From stumbling through each challenge to handling them with ease, Chu Zhen declared: It’s just the apocalypse. I’m used to it.

Only, at some point, wanted posters bearing her face had begun covering the Seven Great Public Realms.

Theme: Life is precious. Never give up.
