On January 4, 2013, a man and a woman separately took their own lives in Greenland and Madagascar, leaving behind notes saying they were going to join Aphrodite, the goddess of love. In less than ten days, more than a thousand people had followed suit, leaving similar notes before taking their own lives.
Is this the end of love? Or is it part of a conspiracy? Or perhaps a sign that some major event is about to begin?
