A Busy Concubine in the Qing Dynasty

Xia Yunxuan woke up one morning to find she'd transmigrated from the apocalypse to the Qing dynasty, becoming Yunxuan of the Daijia clan, a low-ranking concubine in Kangxi's harem. Her status was low, her annual income was less than thirty taels, her son was born disabled, and she was still expected to clock in early every morning! Even worse, after spending most of her life suffering, she only barely managed to become a consort in her old age. Was this what they meant by getting credit for all your hard work, even if you achieved nothing? From the start, it was hell! Fortunately, the pocket dimension she'd once depended on to survive had come along with her. Yunxuan: Fine, I'll just lie low in a different place! It doesn't matter where I do it. She, Daijia Yunxuan, an utterly ordinary woman and a genius at staying alive, had made it through the apocalypse. What obstacle could she possibly fail to overcome? So, with the help of her pocket dimension, Yunxuan started a life of lounging around and watching the drama unfold, with her little one by her side. While everyone else fought for power in the harem, she raised her child. While everyone else tore into each other, she watched and snacked. While everyone else competed for favor, she lounged around. Who could have guessed that, before long, she'd reach the very peak of her career!? Yunxuan: ????? This novel will go VIP on August 20. Reposting is prohibited. New upcoming novel: The Little Chef of Kaifeng Prefecture [Seven Heroes and Five Gallants] What's it like to open your eyes and see old-fashioned wooden rafters? Yuanbao says: Thanks for asking. I just transmigrated, and I'm in the Song dynasty. The newly crowned culinary champion stared thoughtfully at the ancestral cleaver in her hand. Since she couldn't go back, she'd conquer this era with delicious food! She heard that Kaifeng Prefecture was hiring a cook. With her family's time-honored skills, surely she could win over the ancient people's stomachs? But who knew the kitchen could be more dangerous than solving a case? That day, she merely wanted to pickle some cabbage to whet everyone's appetite. Zhang Long and Zhao Hu thumped their chests and promised to handle it. After wandering around for ages, the two jokers came back carrying a talking earthenware basin! Under the moonlight, its rim gleamed with an eerie blue light, and it suddenly called out, "Young lady!" She was so startled she nearly flung her freshly sharpened cleaver. After that, Kaifeng Prefecture became increasingly unsettled, with things always going missing in the middle of the night. What the hell? Why had the buns she'd steamed in advance vanished without a trace? Theme: Be independent and strong, and respect and cherish yourself
