Tender Pretenses

Ou Nanhou Shen was vindictive and held grudges. To strike at Qiao Hejian, he set his sights on Qiao Hejian's most beloved younger son, Qiao Xiling.

He pursued Qiao Xiling, treating the young master like a king: if he wanted the stars, he wouldn't settle for the moon. He brought out every sweet word, tender promise, and soft-spoken endearment he could think of. His schemes ran so deep that he got caught up in them himself and, for a while, nearly believed he had truly fallen in love with the young master.

Fortunately, he never lost his reason. He knew it was all an act.

Once he had won the man's body and heart, he planned to torment Qiao Xiling, shatter the Qiao family's most beloved young master like a mirror, and take revenge on Qiao Hejian.

But he never expected to be the one whose heart was shattered in the end.

Content warning:

A scum gong story, with infidelity.

A self-indulgent passion project in a niche genre that's unlikely to be popular.

If it reaches 500 bookmarks, it will become a paid story. If not, I'll write it as a free story.

No idea when I'll start. Maybe I'll suddenly begin one day.

Theme: He set out to make someone else hit a wall, only to hit one himself.
