/Size difference, ferocious grassland wolf x proud, pampered royal beauty/
On the vast grasslands, the bonfire crackles and wolves howl. Tears cling to Song Yaozhu’s porcelain cheeks as she retreats inside the great tent.
The first time she meets Aletu,
he is only seventeen, yet he is one of the fiercest warriors among the grasslands. His father has just died, and his tribe is on the verge of being swallowed up by other tribes.
Aletu comes alone to explain the stakes to Song Yaozhu’s father, the ruler of Eastern Song.
At the time, the pampered Song Yaozhu runs straight out from behind the screen and loudly scolds Aletu’s tribe for being useless.
She is the cherished jewel and precious daughter of Eastern Song’s ruler, with red lips and pearly teeth, pampered and noble.
Rejected, Aletu says nothing more.
Before leaving, Aletu gazes steadily at Song Yaozhu, his eyes dark.
He bends his straight frame toward Song Yaozhu, but she merely snorts and leaves.
Song Yaozhu sees Aletu again three years later.
She has already forgotten the lonely young man from back then.
Who could have guessed he would lead his tribe to conquer all the other tribes on the grasslands, then bring the warriors of the plains to the gates of Shengjing, Eastern Song’s capital?
*
At seventeen, Aletu experiences a dark upheaval on the grasslands.
Afterward, he becomes ruthless and bloodthirsty, and no one dares to rebel against him again.
The one thing that never changes is that every year, he swears an oath to the Wolf God.
One day, he will pluck that pampered, noble jewel from her place and cast her down upon his grasslands.
