[HiGH&LOW] The Infamous King Has Her in His Sights

[Synopsis] Another school year begins. In front of Ghost Evil High stands a "tricycle" that single-handedly overthrew the all-day school system. Then, with a thunderous entrance, comes a "beautiful girl" who claims the tricycle is her underling. In reality, she's absent-minded (which just means she's open-minded), always trying to show off (that's called standing up for what's right), and all bluster (she's weak, but she can't lose her aura, can she?). (The bracketed explanations are from Kobayakawa Rinrin's perfectly serious defense of herself.) But she's actually the girl the infamous "King of Evil" likes. They're childhood friends and constant bickering rivals. She's even drawn the leader of neighboring Hosen High into bringing people to the school gate every few days to snatch (x) her and walk her home. When Kobayakawa Rinrin hears about all these bad influences, she calmly takes the jam bread from the Jam Guy, takes a bite, and remarks as if reflecting on life: "Sigh, that's the trouble with having so many underlings." Heh... She's certainly got guts. [Reading Guide] 1. This is a short story. 2. Please be kind when reading, okay? Theme: Hottest Street, forever number one.
