Sorry, I Prefer the Real Thing

1. On May 20, campus heartthrob Fang Zhi publicly comes out and says he already has a boyfriend. His shocked roommates corner him and demand answers. "Is your boyfriend handsome?" "He's all right." "Is he tall?" "He's all right." "Is his family rich?" "I guess he's all right." "Who is he?" "Chen Jinzhi, the grad student at A University who came back from abroad. Do you know him?" The roommates: "..." The legendary heir to the Yaofei Group, a super-rich second-generation heir among second-generation heirs, is just all right?!! 2. At the Yaofei Group's annual gala, Fang Zhi's roommate gets two tickets and says they'll take Fang Zhi along to try their luck. Instead, they run into the boyfriend who's been giving Fang Zhi the cold shoulder for a month. His roommate excitedly points at someone. "Look, there's your boyfriend!" Fang Zhi looks over. Very handsome, very tall, and obviously very rich. "But that's not my boyfriend." Fang Zhi points to the person beside him, who isn't as handsome, isn't as tall, and doesn't look as rich. "That's my boyfriend." His roommate looks awkward. "Bro, that's not Chen Jinzhi. He's the nephew of Chen Jinzhi's stepmother, the dead weight she brought along. What was his name again, Qu Ye...?" Only then does Fang Zhi find out that his boyfriend's name, identity, and education were all fake. He'd been deceived. 3. Before Fang Zhi can confront Qu Ye, Qu Ye messages him on WeChat to break up, saying that Fang Zhi isn't affectionate enough or proactive enough. Fang Zhi is silent for a long time, then agrees. On a whim, he blocks and deletes Qu Ye on WeChat, then opens another WeChat contact he'd added just a few days earlier. The contact is Chen Jinzhi.
