Coming soon: a sweet story with the seme lead, The Lazybones at Doctor Su's Home. Please check it out~~
Blurb:
Everyone in the village thinks the ruffian Fu Bingyuan looks down on Ye Xu, the man promised to him. Even if he marries him, he certainly won't treat him well.
Sure enough, Fu Bingyuan's father has only just asked a matchmaker to propose to the Ye family when Fu Bingyuan announces that he wants to break off the engagement.
Newly reborn, Fu Bingyuan touches the cold kang. A Xu isn't here. What is he supposed to do without anyone to warm the bed?
In his previous life, angry at his parents for arranging his marriage, he left a divorce letter the day after the wedding and escaped over the wall. When he later fell on hard times, it was Ye Xu who took pity on him, brought him home, and cared for him devotedly.
Reborn in a new life, Fu Bingyuan finally sees the light. Who needs freedom? He wants A Xu!
So he bought a goose, some cloth, and wine, shouldered some meat, and shamelessly knocked on the Ye family's door. "A Xu, I've come to bring you home as my husband."
Reading Guide:
1. The seme is reborn. He spoils the uke in the early chapters, and they dote on each other later. Readers with extreme character preferences, please stay away.
2. The seme is a ruffian, not a good-hearted man in the traditional sense.
3. The story features a male pregnancy setting, and there will be a child later on.
4. There are some despicable characters, but they leave the story quickly. They are only here to serve the romance between the leads and won't take up much space.
5. This is a fictional setting with plenty of original worldbuilding. Don't overanalyze it. A few words in the story borrow from various regional dialects. If that bothers you, please don't read. No need to tell me if you drop it.
Ongoing novel: The Farmhouse Scholar Who Became a Gentle, Soft-Spoken Husband. Check it out in my profile~
One day, Xie Jianjun wakes up as the despised village fool of Fushui Village. He opens his eyes to a dilapidated thatched hut with crumbling walls. In the corner, two pitiful figures, one big and one small, clutch their clothes and shiver with fear. His mind is a chaotic whirlwind.
Unable to shoulder a load or lift a thing, with barely a coin to his name, he has little going for him besides a clever mind. To find his footing in this era and provide for his husband and young brother, Xie Jianjun has no choice but to pick up his books and return to the imperial examinations.
The villagers all say that the fool from the Xie family, who can't even recognize a single character, is delusional to think he can pass the county-level exam.
Later, Xie Jianjun rides through the streets in celebration, wearing a red robe and a black gauze hat with winglike flaps. He passes the examinations with flying colors and rises to success.
The villagers then say that now Xie Jianjun has become a high-ranking official, he will surely divorce his low-class, stuttering husband.
Later, the virtuous Lord Xie leads the townspeople in repairing riverbanks, building dams, growing high-yield crops, and establishing schools. By his side all these years, sharing life's hardships and joys, is his beloved husband, Mu Yunhu.
Little Scene:
At night, as usual, Mu Yunhu curls up in the cowshed, wrapped in thin clothes and a flimsy blanket. His stomach growls with hunger. Trembling, he doesn't dare make a sound. Half-asleep, he sees a steaming bowl of noodle soup held out before him, with a glossy golden fried egg resting on top. He sniffs and instinctively swallows. Looking up, he sees his husband, Xie Jianjun, who has suddenly stopped being a fool, crouched before him. Xie Jianjun strokes his head with his sleeve and says gently:
"Why are you sleeping here? I just made some noodle soup. Would you like to come have a little?"
Reading Guide:
1. A slow burn. Farming life in the early chapters, imperial examinations in the middle, and infrastructure building later on.
The uke is timid at first, but with the seme's encouragement, he will grow. Both leads are dear to the author's heart. Please don't insult them, even if you don't like them.
2. There will be a male pregnancy plot later. 80% anti-piracy protection.
3. Fictional setting with lots of original details. No endlessly troublesome villains, so feel free to dive in~
Theme: Make up for regrets and cherish the person by your side.
? Where's the cub? What's next after raising pigs to make a lot of money??6
Ah, it's so sudden. I still want to see the kid.
After reading the comments, I was a little mentally prepared for the ending to be hasty, but I didn't find it possible to be so hasty [crying] I finally gave birth to the baby [crying] [crying] [crying]
Is this the end? ? ?
It feels like there is a hole that has not been filled. The swine fever in the first half of next year has not yet been explained how to deal with it.
Don't you have a wife of your own? Hahahahahaha
Ah! It ended quite suddenly, why don't you consider making an extra chapter?
It ended too suddenly. A few more extra episodes would be fine too
It was a bit sudden, how did it end?
Finished, scattering flowers? But it's not very satisfying to watch. I feel like some parts were not explained properly and the ending ended a little too early.
