What a Coincidence, You're a Useless Bug Too

Eilis Longte is the weakest student at Central Military Academy. Yet both his parents were the highest-ranking officers in the twelve legions of the Astar Empire. Sadly, they died in the line of duty ten years ago.

The imperial family has always looked after Eilis, but he inherited none of his parents' super-S genes. He's only awakened three times so far, making him a bona fide weakling, more fragile than glass. Even so, he's the most sought-after male insect at the academy when it comes to marriage. The reason is simple: unlike those arrogant, overbearing males, he's a gentleman, gentle and kind, the perfect partner.

Eilis was quite content with his peaceful life, until another notorious weakling from his military academy faked an accident to get close to him. From then on, his life got a lot more interesting.

Deya is a disgrace to the imperial family. As the other weak male at Central Military Academy, he has a secret: yes, this is all an act. He's actually a double-S female. Since females can't inherit the throne, Deya has to find another way. To make his cover more convincing, he sets his sights on the weakling Eilis, who could imitate and even surpass him when necessary.

At first, Deya thinks Eilis is acting, too. Then he realizes Eilis might actually be genuine. But when everything has finally settled, he realizes just how naive he was. There is no one in the world who can play the game better than Eilis.

This is an atypical insect-people story with plenty of original worldbuilding.
