Him in the Mirror

This won't be a very long story.

Trying my hand at a mystery style.

Drafting and building up a backlog of advance chapters. I'll try to publish in 2024.

The blurb is in first person, but the story is in third person:

I moved into a new place. I achieved the freedom to work only when I want. I saw a ghost in the mirror.

Ghost: Please, break the mirror and let me reincarnate. You don't know what it's like to be a lonely ghost.

I refuse: How can you prove you're not an evil spirit? Besides, this is the landlord's mirror, and I can't afford to replace it.

The ghost bargains: Then let's think of another solution. In exchange, I can tutor you for free and help with your daily life. I promise I won't hurt you.

I reply coldly: College students don't need tutoring. Finals week is enough.

The ghost breaks down: Then what do you want me to do? Name your price!

Me: ...Could you pretend to be my boyfriend for a little while?

The ghost is shocked: Is something wrong with your brain?!

In a nutshell: An adventurous tale about helping a ghost roommate recover their memories, with a happy ending.

Theme: Study hard and improve every day
