After Being Reborn, the Pitiful Prince Falls Deeply in Love with Me

Overnight, Ye Xiaqing fell from a life of privilege into the dirt, becoming a murderer kneeling at the entrance to the marketplace, his neck bared for execution. The gleaming blade rose and fell. When Ye Xiaqing opened his eyes again, he had returned to ten years earlier. At this point, the Xia family had only just begun to rise. Nothing had happened yet. Seated at his desk with a brush in hand, Ye Xiaqing listened to his mother make veiled insults, the corner of his mouth lifting into a smile. Having been given another life, he would make every person who had trampled over his corpse pay the price! A new Second Young Master Ye appeared in the capital, generous with money and carefree. He scattered gold by the thousands just to win a beauty's smile. He didn't even care about his reputation, keeping company with the notorious "Nine-Thousand-Year-Old" until he became the infamous wastrel of the Ye household. Ye Xiaqing carefully laid his traps, watching his enemies from his previous life fall into them one by one. But Gu Jingchen, the Fourth Prince, whom he had never paid any attention to, appeared before him too. The Fourth Prince, Gu Jingchen, was timid by nature. In his previous life, Ye Xiaqing had never given him a second glance. Yet this utterly insignificant man blocked the Ye family's daughters from entering the palace, cut off Ye Father's path to promotion, and even broke up Ye Xiaqing's engagement to a general's daughter, forcing the Ye family to send him to the Fourth Prince's residence. Ye Xiaqing cornered Gu Jingchen in the palace, pinning him against the wall as he demanded through gritted teeth, "Why do you hate me?" Gu Jingchen looked up at him, his eyes red, stubborn and aggrieved. Ye Xiaqing's heart stirred. "You ruined my engagement. Are you offering yourself to me as compensation?" He waited for a slap across the face, but instead heard Gu Jingchen mutter softly, "Then I'll make it up to you." Theme: No matter how faint the hope, as long as you work hard, you can make it come true!
