While running a clinic in the Bowery, Mori Ogai killed an ability user who could amplify people's emotions, in order to clear away obstacles. With hatred in his heart, the man used his ability on Mori one last time before he died, like a curse: Mori Ogai's emotions would be amplified tenfold.
"Oh? Tears...?" Mori Ogai murmured, still not understanding what was happening, as he touched the cold tears on his face.
