[Xie Ping] Crescent Moon

This team of fewer than ten people had survived the culling of traps and harsh terrain, and the tests of human nature and self-interest. Standing atop one of countless sand dunes, they gazed out at the vast sea of sand stretching all the way to the horizon.

Behind the lenses, below the sand ridge in front of them, stood a person, a tiny person.

A child.

Wu Xie lowered his binoculars and said calmly, "It's an illusion."

Character pairing: Sha Hai Wu Xie x a young Zhang in the Republican era. Older protagonist and younger love interest; transmigration.

Timeline: Follows Sha Hai 4, "Sha Hai: The Gap." A desert story set before Li Cu appears.
