Part 1:
Zhao He transmigrated.
The moment she opened her eyes, her father had started a rebellion.
After ascending the throne, her doting father, Zhao, declared that he would make Zhao He Crown Princess.
The five ministers of the six ministries all begged him to reconsider: "Your Majesty, you mustn't!"
Zhao He thought to herself: They're right! Dad, you mustn't!
At that moment, only the Minister of War remained silent, scoffing inwardly: Mustn't, my ass!
Zhao refused to change his mind, so Zhao He simply slipped out of the palace to get some peace and quiet.
A year later, famine struck the Great Zhao.
Grain prices soared in the capital.
Meanwhile, in a field in the south, a young peasant girl planting rice held hybrid rice seeds in her hand and laughed. "I finally got it to work!"
While most people couldn't even afford rice,
a shop called State-Owned Rice began selling new rice at the lowest possible price.
The shop quickly caught the court's attention, and the Minister of Revenue went in person to find the owner of the "Imperial Grain" in hopes of securing the new rice.
When the Minister of Revenue was led to meet the shop's owner,
and saw Zhao He, a face he knew well,
the Minister of Revenue: "..."
Zhao He: "..."
Part 2:
When Zhao He first transmigrated,
the war was at a stalemate.
Seeing her father's side suffer heavy casualties,
in an age of cold weapons,
Zhao He, trained in chemistry, quietly presented a blueprint.
Before long, the Zhao army's "thunder bombs" shook the land of Huaxia,
allowing the Zhao forces to swiftly unify the Central Plains.
Zhao He was brought into the palace.
Her daughter-obsessed father, Zhao, now wanted to make her Crown Princess.
When the court officials objected,
thousands of soldiers, both guarding the frontier and stationed in the capital,
signed a petition in unison:
"The soldiers of Great Zhao obey only the Princess!"
The court officials: "???"
Huh?
The Minister of War, a wrinkly old man, grinned. Ha! What a wise decision it had been not to object when His Majesty proposed making her Crown Princess!
Zhao He: "..."

"Uncontrollable Descent"
Originally titled "Ambition," a romance between an older woman and a younger man.
Seven years ago, Jiang Meng entered Pei Shiyue's life in the way she hated most.
Jiang Meng was solitary, cold, and rebellious, prickly all over.
In everyone else's eyes, Pei Shiyue was obedient, sensible, quiet, and beautiful.
She was endlessly patient even with the newest member of the family, her younger brother Jiang Meng.
Everyone said that Pei Shiyue was the only person in the Pei family who could keep Jiang Meng in check.
But no one expected Pei Shiyue to leave the country as soon as she came of age, cutting all ties with the Pei family.
Five years later, Jiang Meng joined the Pei family company in Lucheng.
People in their circle said the Pei family would soon change its name, and pitied Pei Shiyue for having cared for an ungrateful wolf.
Later, Pei Shiyue finally returned to the country.
Everyone looked forward to seeing how these estranged "siblings" would stage an exquisite battle and fight for control of the Pei family's wealth.
But at a party, someone accidentally saw Jiang Meng cornering Pei Shiyue by the wall.
The clear, bright voice of his youth had long since turned low and hoarse, carrying a madness that allowed no refusal:
"What will it take for you to come back?!"
Then came a final, almost whispered word that made the listener's heart race:
"Sis?"
If it weren't you, I wouldn't want to love anyone in this life.
tips:
1. A story about building infrastructure, though maybe not a pure infrastructure story?
2. Plot-focused, but with a pairing and a male lead; it's categorized as romance.
3. An alternate setting, incredibly empty, as empty as it gets.
Theme: Love life, and life will give back to you
