Wen You is the son of a high-ranking official at the Dali Temple, and he always keeps his word.
When he says he won't see someone, he means it.
Constable: "Young Master Wen, the Imperial Preceptor just arrived. I've already turned him away."
Wen You tightens his brow.
"Bring him back!!!"
He's absolutely rational and calm.
Constable: "Young Master, the Imperial Preceptor crippled a prince. His Majesty ordered you to handle the case impartially."
Wen You slaps the table.
"Guards! Arrest the prince! He dared to assassinate the Imperial Preceptor!"
Constable: "Young Master, His Majesty is dismissing you."
Wen You packs his bags and heads to the Imperial Preceptor's residence.
"I can solve cases. Please take me in."
Notes:
1. The pacing is slow at first.
2. Updates are every other day because I'm writing two stories at once. After signing a contract, updates will be daily.
3. The couple's government-funded romance is almost too sweet.
4. Sickly, sharp-tongued top with maxed-out stats vs. deeply admiring, crafty bottom.
