After Being Mistaken for a Villainous Cultivator

After spiritual qi revival, the unremarkable Gui Huai inherited her family's funeral home and feels like everyone has a lot of misconceptions about her. Sure, she knows plenty of spooky skills. Sure, her employees are zombies. Sure, even her family's house cat is a cat demon that died years ago. But all of that was her ancestors' doing! She's really not some mighty demonic cultivator! Everyone: Got it! You've gone straight! Gui Huai: "..." - Gui Huai was reborn in a parallel world, where her family's ancestral funeral home still existed. But things were different here. Spiritual qi revival had begun five hundred years ago, so every death-related industry came with a high level of danger. Only, Gui Huai realized that her family's funeral home seemed even more dangerous. Late at night, her parents stepped out of their portraits, made her a meal of rice mixed with ashes, and told her to hurry back into her coffin afterward, get a good night's sleep, and stop staying up late. A beauty-loving black cat put paper flowers on its head and danced on the coffin, trying to attract a mate. The employees her parents had hired stuck talismans to their foreheads as soon as night fell, then stood in the corner. And she herself seemed a little off, too. In her dreams, a crowd of ancestors surrounded her and taught her to draw talismans, perform rituals, and cut paper into human figures. As they urged her to cultivate diligently and become an immortal as soon as possible, Gui Huai thought to herself... But anyway: The Funeral Home for a Homecoming in Death Company really doesn't offer repeat-customer services! Stop coming to me! *A slice-of-life story set after spiritual qi revival (maybe). *I really want to write this, so I'm putting up the advance notice first. But I won't start it just yet, since I haven't finished the reference books I bought, and I bought quite a few. Theme: Love life and heal your soul
