It Took Me 99 Deaths to Realize I Was Chasing the Wrong Person

[Blurb in first person, story in third person] One day, I transmigrated to a wasteland world with an extremely high danger level. The System gave me a photo of an unfamiliar young man and said that if I could win him over, it would let me go home. But chasing someone isn't hard. Finding him is. I searched absolutely everywhere before finally catching sight of him at a school for people with supernatural abilities. The young man's name was Xie Ziyan. He was the eldest son of the world's leading family, a genius ability user, and supposedly sharp-tongued and nasty, with someone he secretly cherished. But none of that mattered to me when going home was at stake. So, after doing everything I could to get into the school, the first thing I did was block his path and look at him with complete sincerity. "I fell in love with you at first sight! Please go out with me!" * I've been chasing him for so long and died so many times that I think I'm an excellent simp. Even when the young man gives me the cold shoulder, even though he already has someone he likes, I keep at it and love him with all my heart. Just as the young man was finally falling for me but was too proud to confess, I realized there was a serious problem. The System told me I might have been pursuing the wrong person. System: That's right. The real target is actually Xie Ziyan's twin brother, Xie Zili. Me: ? So I'd spent all those 99 loops pursuing nobody at all :) * One of the male leads is one of a pair of twins. The female lead has no heart. All she wants is to go home. There will be a chase-your-wife-to-the-crematorium arc. A wasteland setting where a small number of people have supernatural abilities. The female lead is weak at first, then becomes insanely powerful later. Theme: Strive to improve.
