I'm revising the ending. The plan is to finish in about four or five days, then replace it along with the rest.
There are coming-soon novels on my profile. Please add them to your collection: danmei, The School Bully's Guide to Abduction; romance, Obsessive Love Delusion.
Blurb:
Qu Xiuran is beautiful and ill-tempered, known as a femme fatale. He's lived flamboyantly all his life, until one day a System suddenly appears in his head.
The System says his white moonlight is the protagonist of a wish-fulfillment novel and the child of Heaven. To get away from him, the white moonlight has cultivated the Ruthless Path. His master is a web-novel protagonist who will cripple his cultivation and cast him out of the sect. His sworn enemy is a Jinjiang protagonist who will ascend to immortality and chop off his head.
Because he has offended the protagonists by acting without restraint, he'll end up crippled in both body and spirit, humiliated, and dead in a gruesome fashion.
The System also says that only by secretly helping and currying favor with the protagonists can Qu Xiuran stay alive.
The System, accustomed to seeing cannon fodder try to save themselves, thinks Qu Xiuran will start keeping his head down. But the spoiled young master, used to throwing his weight around, furrows his brow.
"Why am I a supporting character?"
"Isn't there some way to steal their opportunities?"
"I don't like playing second fiddle!"
System: "...This cannon fodder is beyond saving."
Born to hate being under anyone's thumb, Qu Xiuran follows the principle that every extra day alive is a bonus and steps up his efforts to bully the protagonists.
He makes the white moonlight on the Ruthless Path warm his bed like a fire. He makes the protagonist master cook and do his laundry. He plants his foot in his sworn enemy's palm and makes him put on his shoes.
When his backing falls, Qu Xiuran simply lies flat. "I'm alive, and I'm the villain with the most scenes. That's good enough for me."
System: "..."
But things don't turn out the way anyone expected.
As the once lofty femme fatale is finally dragged off his pedestal and seems ripe for the taking...
His sworn enemy grips him by the throat and presses their foreheads together. "Treat me well, and I can keep you alive."
He offers to leave the immortal sect, but his master says, "You can leave the sect, but only if I agree."
His white moonlight binds his hands and kisses the side of his neck. "I'm the only one who knows there's a mole here, right?"
Everyone is itching to make a move.
Just as the System thinks Qu Xiuran is about to die, the entire cultivation world goes strange.
Content warning: The shou has had more than one adult relationship, but each one ended before the next began. This is not a multiple-partner story.
Coming-soon novel on my profile: After Sleepwalking and Kissing the Straight-Ace Campus Heartthrob. Please add it to your collection.
Black-hearted, sweet-talking green-tea gong, Diao Chang'an x genuinely delinquent shou, Zhao Wen
Zhao Wen, the school bully at A University, is a swaggering tough guy. Rumor has it he's arrogant and unruly, and fights like a mad dog. He once took on four people at once, earning him the nickname Little Li Kui.
During military training, all the boys got crew cuts, but he kept his red wolf cut. So Little Li Kui was sent to the student union for reform.
Student union president Diao Chang'an is a well-known rich second-generation heir in their circle. Fair-skinned and beautiful, he smiles with crescent-shaped eyes and looks as harmless as a white rabbit. But he's ruthless, and behind his back everyone calls him the smiling tiger.
During Zhao Wen's reform, he and Diao Chang'an share a dorm room.
When the news gets out, the whole school erupts. Everyone thinks Zhao Wen is sure to be destroyed by the cold-blooded Diao Chang'an.
The first time they meet face to face is in the dorm bathroom. Zhao Wen sits in a chair drying his hair, his red locks wild and striking, a damp section resting against his neck. His gaze is languid.
He's no Li Kui. He's a red-haired siren, a sea demon.
The siren grabs Diao Chang'an by the collar and slams him against the wall, then pats his cheek. "Where'd this little punk come from?"
According to reports, Diao Chang'an once publicly said, "I'm homophobic. I hate people who don't follow the rules."
The two become roommates as part of Zhao Wen's reform, and they fight constantly, until Diao Chang'an realizes something.
The campus bully, cool, swaggering, and domineering during the day, hugs him and kisses him at night.
Diao Chang'an: ...
Zhao Wen once declared in public, "I'm gay. I hate straight men who act sweet and innocent but are fake underneath."
After the two become roommates, Zhao Wen wakes up with bruises every day. At first, he has patches of purple and green bruises as if he's been pinched. Later, his lips feel tingly and numb. He keeps thinking that bastard Diao Chang'an is beating him in the middle of the night.
Until one day, Zhao Wen wakes up with a splitting headache in Diao Chang'an's bed, lifts his head, and sees that he's leaning in to kiss Diao Chang'an. He's so startled he nearly jumps out of bed.
The other man's voice is icy. "Senior, does that look mean you're not going to take responsibility?"
Zhao Wen: ...
You're supposed to be straight, aren't you?!
Help! What do I do when my green-tea roommate, who said he was straight, suddenly tells me to take responsibility for him?
A classmate who saw them said that Gu Wen got called to the student union president's office, where Fu Chang'an pinned him against the wall. His face was buried in the hollow of Chang'an's neck, and his legs were so weak from their fight that he could barely stand.
The next day, Gu Wenze, who usually left his uniform unbuttoned down to the fourth button, wore it properly. A Hello Kitty bandage was stuck to the visible strip of his neck, and his lips were swollen too.
Students: Help! The top student and the campus bully fought until their lips got swollen!
Theme: Hold fast to your principles in troubled times, and follow the righteous path through adversity
Is this a bad ending? I've been looking forward to it. It's not as exciting as the copy says.
It's normal to read in a fog. The author is writing something she likes, and doesn't consider whether the readers can understand or not, including this short ending, "Forever Companion" is perfect, but she just wants to add the eyes of the world, amidst the scorn and disgust. Normal people would call me sick when they see it, but if you think about it this way, I am despised by the whole world, and there is a soul who is willing to give up everything to be with me, and has the same free and uninhibited nature as me, to be together forever. There is nothing more romantic in the world than this. So Ji needs to die once, because I also died once.
Good story. I like it. Those who shouldn't be forgiven should not be forgiven. Stick to it. My baby will be a bad villain in the end. I'm so happy. It's bad and beautiful at the same time. Woohoo.
Fang Sizheng was a bit miserable. He didn't end up well from the beginning to the end. Whether he was robbed of the young master's position by Tantai'an, framed by Tantai'an, or used by Qu Xiuran, he was the one who was led by the nose from the beginning to the end. He was in the game but couldn't see through it. He was used from beginning to end, and ended up in a miserable end. He should be the most innocent one. I always felt depressed when I saw him dead. It must be empathy.
I cried to death. Ji is a real gong. He was so kind to Qu Xiuran. I really want to cry when I see him die.
Ah ah ah ah ah, madam, I miss you so much. I like this book so much. I have been following it since you first wrote it. When I was reading it, I thought a lot about Qu Bao being with someone else, but they didn't feel like a good match. At that time, I thought it would be better if Ji and Qu Bao were together. Ah, I love this ending. And madam, I miss you so much. If you don't come back, at least say something.
What about the ease you promised?! Hateful! Although the ending is still good, there is an indescribable feeling of melancholy. I can only say that it is very resonant. It is one of the better short stories I have read.
I beg for Qu Xiuran and Ji Tangan's extra story~
Yay! Whoever saw the last chapter has candy to eat?? I really like Tang Sheng
The front attack is alive again, great! Everyone else is a bitch, but Ji Tangsheng is the only one who treats Qu Xiuran without any selfish motives.
