They can talk to corrupted Tsukumogami without batting an eye.
Corrupted Tsukumogami: "Something feels off..."
For some reason, they get along splendidly with several old swords from Heian-kyo.
They keep insisting they're just an ordinary person.
The sword spirits naively believe them.
That is, until someone from the "unspeakable" ranks of the Time Government comes calling.

1. I haven't played Touken Ranbu, only read fanfiction, so beware of OOC characters.
2. The protagonist is Ango's master, who appeared in another work, "Ango Is an Immortal Cultivator."
3. The protagonist is truly a big shot. No romance.
