[Third-person narration, paired with Yukimura]
In first grade, I dreamed every night and prayed to be born with a Heart's Egg. I failed.
In second grade, I tried to grow a seven-colored flower to prove I was a flower fairy. I failed.
In third grade, I tried to sign a contract with the Clow Cards by banging a key against them. I failed.
In fourth grade, I raised a black cat, hoping to communicate with it and transform into a Sailor Scout. I failed.
In fifth grade, I went to a shrine to apply for a job as a land god. I failed.
In sixth grade, I jumped into a dry well, hoping to reach another world. When they found out, I got beaten up...
Time flowed by like a river, and I was about to enter junior high. As I got older, my chances of awakening magic or psychic powers grew fewer and fewer.
But I would never give up just like that!
Edison failed thousands of times while inventing the light bulb, and Colonel Sanders didn't reach the peak of his career until he was 66.
History tells us that a person can fail countless times in life, but if you keep persevering, one success is enough!
I will devote my whole life and all my energy to the most magnificent cause in the world: love and peace!
I, Okura Kana, will protect the world!
After entering junior high, I realized that many hands make light work. So I gathered like-minded people and founded the Supernatural Magic Alliance, intending to explore the mysteries of psychic powers, magic, and spiritual arts... and failed yet again!
The club was gloomy.
Everyone had their heads down and their shoulders shaking. I guessed they were crying in secret after such a crushing defeat.
After all, not everyone is as indomitable as I am.
"Kaname, Saiki, Mob, don't lose heart."
I sighed and did my best to comfort my followers.
"Failure is the mother of success. Come on, repeat the incantation with me one more time. Believe me, we'll succeed soon!"
--"Kana, want to come watch me play tennis?"
A voice came from the doorway. My boyfriend was calling for me, his noble purple hair fluttering slightly. When he smiled, he was prettier than a flower.
I felt a shameful flutter in my heart, but my sharp mind quickly regained its composure. Our great cause is unfinished. How can I think about romance!
I waved firmly. "I'm busy. I'm not going!"
What's so interesting about tennis? Awakening my long-dormant special ability is much more important.
Carefully putting up a coming-soon listing first~
