* Teacher-student romance
* The male lead is a rotten scoundrel, black as can be. You can picture Ma Wencai from the 2000 version of The Butterfly Lovers.
* A melodramatic mix of transmigration, being reborn, and a System, all the tropes in one. I wrote this after finishing a pure-love, fluffy story and decided to let loose.
That's all. Click here to read about the younger Ma calling someone "Big Sister"~
A fictionalized historical setting, with no historical research. A spin-off of The Butterfly Lovers.
Xilin Academy has hired a female tutor.
The tutor is of noble birth, from the Wang clan of Langya.
The tutor is so talented that she's the equal of Ban Zhao and Cai Yan.
The tutor is so beautiful that she outshines Xi Shi and the Goddess of the Luo River.
The tutor is...
Wang Shen (deadpan): Don't drag me into this. That's not me.
It all began when Wang Shen was slacking off at work and came across a popular Zhihu question: "How would you start a story with 'I transmigrated into a book and became an incredibly beautiful passerby...'?"
Intrigued, she clicked Save. Then, on her way home from work, she was hit by a speeding car while trying to save a lost blind girl. As the world spun around her, she opened her eyes and found herself transformed into a talented young woman named Wang Shenzhi.
Along with her came the System, which was supposed to tell her about her transmigration mission.
Now she had quite the experience to share in response to that Zhihu question.
I transmigrated into a book and became an incredibly beautiful passerby.
The original character wasn't just beautiful. She was also of noble birth and exceptionally talented.
She had all the makings of a heroine in a Mary Sue novel, so why was she called a passerby?
Because the story I'd transmigrated into was incredibly famous.
It was called The Butterfly Lovers.
Yes, that story.
Is there anyone named Wang Shenzhi in The Butterfly Lovers? No.
So my daily routine was to watch the drama unfold, ship couples, and lie flat.
Then one day, a man suddenly grabbed my hand. At that moment, I heard a loud, excited voice crying out in his mind:
"Host, I finally found you! T_T"
As one of the more competent Systems among the three thousand small worlds, System 010 was deeply displeased that it had never been maintained or updated. Luckily, it only had one last mission to complete before it could take a vacation and upgrade. A happy life of lying flat was waiting for it. But when it was randomly matched with a world just before its vacation, something went wrong in the transit passage. In the end, it still managed to bind to its Host without any serious mishaps.
"Beep beep! Hello, dear! I'm 010, your personal System~"
"What are you?" Ma Wencai asked.
010: !!!!!!!!
Wasn't I supposed to bind to the female lead who transmigrated into a book?!
Theme: Caring for younger brothers is a big sister's responsibility.
