My Spy Story Is as Problematic as Ever

* This story will go VIP on May 7, with three chapters released that day. Thank you all for your support!

My other works, Let's Become the Great Leader Together with Little Maria and The Phantom Thieves' Leader Is a Girl, are now available for preorder in my author profile!

ACCA Central Inspectorate Section Chief Bernice takes leave on medical grounds, using an injury as an excuse to step down from her post. She heads to the Eastern Kingdom as a secret investigator for a relaxed assignment.

To find out what is happening in the East, she takes a job at City Hall and tries to enjoy a leisurely life of slacking off.

Then Bernice discovers that her childhood friend, who longs for a peaceful life, used to be a notorious hand fetishist wanted by the authorities; the person she suspects of being a member of "SSS" is actually a foreign agent; and the cat she adopted is an invincible superpowered being.

She also realizes that she's dating a man who dotes on his older sister, despite their opposing factions, and Bernice is utterly baffled:

"Am I retiring wrong?"

Third-person narration. Pairing with a certain sister-complex guy. One-on-one, pure romance.

The setting combines ACCA, Spy x Family, and my own additions, with fairy-tale-style politics and characters from other works making guest appearances.

My writing is rough and overly flowery, with OOC characterizations, my own interpretations of the characters' logic, and a timeline that makes no sense. Any contradictions are treated as parallel worlds.

Theme: How much value can you add to your life?
