The blurb for my upcoming novel, The Supporting Female Character Runs Away with the Female Lead, is at the very end!
In her previous life, Yan Shu was happily attending a banquet when an incident broke out at the palace feast and assassins attacked. Poor Yan Shu was still chewing an osmanthus cake when her cousin dragged her out to take a sword blow for her. She never even got a good look at the assassin before she died.
After being reborn, Yan Shu finally realized that her cousin, who looked somewhat like her, had long since schemed to make her a sacrificial victim. Terrified, Yan Shu decided she had to get married and flee as soon as possible.
To ensure a safe and trouble-free life this time around, she set her sights on Rong Xuan, the sickly legitimate son of the Marquis of Yongyi. He had zero martial prowess and was utterly unremarkable among all the brilliant young men around him.
He was usually kept at home and barely noticed by anyone, but Yan Shu had once been lucky enough to see his face and had been struck by his beauty. What she did not know was that his greatest appeal was that he would one day hold immense power, yet would not live long.
He was rich and handsome, her future husband would not live long, and the Marquis of Yongyi’s household was peaceful. Once married, she could live a carefree life. Wasn’t this a match made in heaven?
Yan Shu: “We’re absolutely perfect for each other!”
But on their wedding night, she accidentally found a Qingfeng sword under the bed.
Recognizing the hilt, Yan Shu felt the world go dark. It was the very sword that had pierced her chest in her previous life!
Her vision swimming and her mind in turmoil, she fainted. Before losing consciousness, she heard the husband she had gone through all eighty-one trials to win over, pleading with her grandmother and father, say: “I am Rong Xuan, commander of the imperial guards serving at His Majesty’s side...”
Rong Xuan was an imperial guard known for his ruthless methods in the palace. While pursuing an assassin, he once rescued a young lady.
When he learned that she belonged to the recently prominent Yan family, Rong Xuan used his public identity as the marquis’s legitimate son to enter the Yan family academy.
Rong Xuan had come to investigate the Yan family’s factional dealings and corruption. On his very first day, he saw her standing up for a friend and taking on a bully.
The bright, lively young woman, so boldly carefree and innocent of the world, stirred dark feelings within him.
She was like the sun, and he wanted to possess the sun.
So at night, he would become that cold imperial guard again, teasing her time and time again. Seeing how different she was from her daytime self, laughing and crying, showing every shade of emotion, gradually tugged at his heart.
Then, as the marquis’s legitimate son, he received what seemed to be a clear proposal of marriage from Yan Shu. Delighted and astonished, Rong Xuan lost his temper. He could not wait until nightfall and rushed to her courtyard to demand an explanation.
Notes for readers:
1. The romance develops slowly, and there’s plenty of face-slapping in the early chapters.

Synopsis:
Scheming, possessive, sickly male lead vs. money-loving, death-fearing, oblivious female lead
One day, Yan Qingqing had a nightmare and discovered she was the vicious supporting female character in a story.
In the dream, she was the second wife of the heir to the Marquis of Yongchang. She repeatedly framed the mute female lead, Rao Qianqian, driving a wedge between her and the heir and trapping them in a torturous romance. In the end, the heir learned the truth and, in a fit of rage, tortured her to death.
When she woke, Yan Qingqing was drenched in a cold sweat. She was furious. What was so great about being doted on? Did she really have to fight for it?
Fortunately, she and the mute female lead had only just entered the household, and none of it had happened yet. Looking at the pitiful little mute in the same courtyard, who could not even speak, Yan Qingqing found her helpless little manner utterly adorable.
Yan Qingqing had an idea. She pulled the girl, who was half a head taller than her, against her soft chest, waved her little hand, and said, “Don’t worry. Big Sis will protect you from now on!”
From then on, whenever the little mute was bullied, Yan Qingqing sought revenge for her. When the little mute cried over the heir, Yan Qingqing brought people into her room and stayed up all night comforting her. The two grew closer by the day, inseparable from then on.
Just when Yan Qingqing thought they would go on living peacefully like this, the Marquis of Yongchang’s estate was seized.
That night, the little mute grabbed her hand and tried to flee. Yan Qingqing shook her off, about to say she still hadn’t gathered up her private savings.
Suddenly, everything went black. Before she fainted, she saw the little mute she had taken in looking at her with a wounded expression.
When she opened her eyes again, she was in a swaying carriage. The little mute, dressed in men’s clothes, stood guard beside her, looking dashing and confident.
Seeing that she was awake, the little mute pressed his lips together and rushed over. His eyes red, he said, “Sister, do you really care that much about that good-for-nothing heir?”
“A m-man?!” Yan Qingqing shuddered and fainted again.
Theme: The diversity of life
It's good to watch. I want to see the male protagonist lose his horse. I also want to see the ending of the cousin and the prince and the regret of the female protagonist's mother.
I thought the writing was pretty good in the first chapter, and the description of the rebirth was good.
Does the author prefer the female supporting character? How come the female supporting character is not bad, and she is even prettier than the heroine. I feel like I can't stand it any longer. It's not pleasant at all to slap the female supporting character in the face. I feel like the female supporting character will probably have a happy ending.
Thanks for the limited exemption, finish spreading flowers [spreading flowers][spreading flowers][spreading flowers]
I feel that Yi Huan has become inexplicably dark, although fortunately there was a small foreshadowing in a chapter earlier.
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha
It makes me laugh, I get stuck in this place every time
