There have been many passersby in He Xi's life: her biological parents, whom she has never met; her adoptive parents, who died unexpectedly; and Xu Yang. Xu Yang doesn't even know who He Xi is. After going abroad to study at university, he never came back.
At least, that's how the story of He Xi and Xu Yang exists in her memory. It can only be that way.
