Mu Feichen transmigrates into a BL harem novel. Because his voice sounds almost exactly like the beloved white moonlight's, a crowd of powerful men mistake him for a "voice double."
He has to keep the men happy before the white moonlight returns. For example: waking them with phone calls, giving them voice-guided directions, acting as their smart assistant...
Lured by the generous pay, Mu Feichen is perfectly happy to do the work, talking himself hoarse to please his wealthy patrons.
But the powerful men have other requests too. Mu Feichen has to do more than just talk.
Powerful Man No. 1, the ascetic astronomy professor: "He said he loved looking at the stars most."
Mu Feichen does his homework and finds a spot where they can see both the professor's and the white moonlight's constellations.
Imitating the white moonlight's soft voice, he says, "These starlight rays traveled for hundreds of millions of years to reach us. How romantic!"
Powerful Man No. 2, the domineering CEO: "Only he deserves this royal diamond."
Mu Feichen stays up all night drawing jewelry designs, then forces himself to sound lovestruck. "If diamonds are a scam, who wouldn't want to be deceived for a lifetime?"
Powerful Man No. 3, the obsessive painter: "I never paint portraits, except of him."
Mu Feichen nods like a pecking chick, personally arranging an art exhibition for Valentine's Day. Pretending to be entranced, he exclaims with a trembling voice, "He only paints one person his entire life! I'm so moved... sob sob sob."
But perhaps Mu Feichen is just too dedicated to his role as a tool, because the men grow greedier and harder to please. For example:
The astronomy professor: "If you don't come with me, how will I know whether the spot you picked is any good?"
Mu Feichen's fair skin is dotted with red, itchy mosquito bites. He scratches himself miserably. A field inspection is one thing, but why do we have to stay overnight?
The domineering CEO: "Put on the ring so I can see if it fits."
Mu Feichen: Wait, I'll put it on, but why are you down on one knee?
The obsessive painter: "I'm working on a figure painting. I need a model. Come here."
Mu Feichen: Hold on, do we really need to stand this close to paint?!
Later, Mu Feichen sobs with regret: I'm done appeasing them! I quit!
