After Becoming a Princess Consort Through a Substitute Marriage

As Prince Yu's consort, Lin Qingli's greatest secret was that she wasn't Lin Qingli.

She was Lin San, an illegitimate daughter of the Lin family.

On the eve of her wedding, Lin Qingli ran away with her lover, leaving the Lin family no choice but to put Lin San in the bridal sedan and see the marriage through.

Everyone told her not to covet the position of Prince Yu's consort. It belonged to Lin Qingli, and she was nothing but an impostor. Once Lin Qingli returned, Lin San would have to give everything back.

Lin San thought so, too.

Once she'd saved enough money, she'd go live her own life.

Then one day, Prince Yu returned from official business and came to her room. He said, "Your sister is doing very well in Jiangnan."

Oh, so he knew after all?

Did that mean he was going to throw her out?

"You needn't worry about her. Just focus on being a good princess consort."

Lin San's eyes widened in surprise.

What? He wasn't going to throw her out?

Then should she keep saving her money?

Prince Yu didn't care whom he married. Even when the Lin family switched out his bride, he thought nothing of it.

But seeing his wife fret over her sister softened his heart.

Very well. Since she had managed the prince's estate so capably, he would let her feel at ease.

He never imagined that one day he would willingly lay everything at her feet, just to persuade her not to leave him.
