Antidote

The first time Xu Ruonan saw Shi He, he looked familiar to her. She quietly followed in his footsteps, and before long, it became a habit.

After she became Shi He's girlfriend, she wanted more.

She wanted Shi He's heart.

She wanted Shi He to belong to her alone.

She wanted to lock Shi He away, where she would be the only one allowed to look at him.

Everyone in the capital knew that the third young master of the Shi family, Shi He, had a devoted admirer. If he told Xu Ruonan to go east, she wouldn't even glance west. If Shi He said one, Xu Ruonan would never say two.

Later, when the Shi family pressured him to marry, Xu Ruonan officially graduated from backup plan and devoted admirer to girlfriend.

But once they were together, Shi He discovered that Xu Ruonan's possessiveness was terrifying.

If a woman outside so much as looked at him, Xu Ruonan wanted to wrap him up in cloth. If someone touched his hand, she wanted to scrub off a layer of skin.

Most importantly, Shi He wasn't allowed to have anyone else in his heart.

One day, Shi He couldn't take it anymore and tried to break up with her. In the middle of the night, Xu Ruonan stood beside his bed, her hand on his chest, murmuring, "Only I can be here."

Only later did Shi He learn that when he was young, he'd undergone a heart transplant. The boy whose heart he received not only looked like him, but also had a girlfriend named Xu Ruonan.
