Blurb:
Top-tier star Qi Yuan and newcomer actor Song Dongyang accidentally swap souls while filming a drowning scene.
After the swap, Song Dongyang (with Qi Yuan's soul) becomes incredibly dominant, while Qi Yuan (with Song Dongyang's soul) turns soft as can be.
Song Dongyang (in Qi Yuan's face) is overwhelmed by his fans' enthusiastic welcome and obliges every request they make.
Once, while being picked up at the airport, he almost caused a stampede because he wanted to take a photo with his fans.
Fans: He's changed. Now he's even asking fans to take pictures with him. So tacky.
Qi Yuan has always cultivated a cool, aloof image. Even after ending up in an unknown newcomer's body, he's still haughty toward the few fans he has. And because Song Dongyang looks so cold, he comes across as unlikable.
Fans: A D-list nobody acting like he's worth a fortune. Does he really think he's a big star? Unfollowing!
They both need to find a way to switch back, so Qi Yuan decides to have his studio sign the unknown newcomer. The two star in three dramas together and unexpectedly gain a huge number of CP fans (the unknown newcomer x the big star).
@xx: The younger wolf-dog top and the sweet, soft big-star bottom are so good together! Qi Mao Bu Yang is real! [Qi Mao Bu Yang Super Topic]
Song Dongyang is mortified: I'm sorry, bro. I didn't mean to ride on your fame.
Qi Yuan tries to comfort himself: Forget it. At least they think I'm the top. (After thinking it over, he realizes something's off.) ...Why do they think you're the top?
Content warning: This story follows two male leads who swap souls, but [each male lead has his own CP], so read with caution if that's not for you. Because the story involves multiple soul swaps, it is categorized as fantasy danmei.
The main character slots only allow one top and one bottom, so I put Xiao Song and his CP in the supporting cast section (teary-eyed).
The idea came to me in 2018, I screenshotted the blurb in September 2020, and I only finally got around to writing it now (haha).
Theme: Everyone has their own bright spot.
It's such a shallow pit, it's really nice to stop it first.
