What do you do when you suddenly find yourself in another world after dying? If you used that as the title of a help request on a forum, people would surely call you a chuunibyou. But right now, Amano Soratsuru can only sit alone on a bench, trembling as he opens his messaging app.
Before he can check whether he can still make a phone call, he hears a voice beside his ear: [Binding successful].
Well, that's a surreal fantasy scenario. Before he can even process it, the System tells him that if he wants to go back, he has to collect "fragments of the world."
He can only obtain those fragments once the world recognizes his legitimate existence. Before then, if he touches anything carelessly, the world will cast him out.
And the help the System provides can't be used on himself. To use the abilities he draws, he has to create suitable character cards on his own.
Amano Soratsuru: So I'm really splitting my personality, huh?
And so Amano Soratsuru began his diligent path of role-playing. You might see:
The Artificial Hope saying "How boring" as he kicks away the remnants of despair trying to cling to him.
The [Ultimate Literary Prodigy / Assassin], forced to climb out a window to escape an editor hounding him for a manuscript, even in another world.
The [Ultimate Hope], an adult who gets turned away at a bar entrance because of his face.
[Warnings]
1. The original characters may be very out of character!!
2. The characters' backgrounds come from Danganronpa, but they are character cards the protagonist makes up himself using skills he draws. You can think of them as coming from a parallel world.
3. I'm trash, and so is this story.
4. Updates are incredibly slow, whenever I feel like it!!!
5. No pairing. I'm a huge Kamukura fan, so there will be a lot of Artificial Hope.
Idea recorded on October 16, 2021.
Theme: Hope and despair exist in opposition to each other.
