Spring Thunder

[1] Wen Wanbing was a sensible woman with a monotonous life and no surprises. Until the summer she turned twenty-four, when she met a woman. At the time, the woman was her diving instructor: alluring, carefree, and languid. So carefree that after meeting her only twice, she asked, “Want to give us a try?” A scarlet kiss beneath the sunrise by the sea. A touch that melted into dark tattoos. An embrace hidden beneath the gray-blue ocean depths. A confession beneath a silver river of stars, undispersed by the sea breeze. That dense, clinging rain seeped into the wooden cabin and fell upon the creaking bed. It painted her life in a thousand colors. Then silently withered in autumn. Dressed in custom couture, she moved with effortless grace and commanded the room. She acted as though she had never met Wen, showing her not the slightest consideration. When they met alone in the restroom, Wen Wanbing couldn’t help asking, “What will it take for you to agree to work with us, Director Fu?” Fu Junxue smiled with breathtaking allure and breathed into her ear: “If you want to win me over, Miss Wen, you’ll have to show a little more sincerity.” [You are the only once-in-a-lifetime awakening of spring in my life.] Reader’s Guide · The author is on Douyin and Weibo as @Wenjiu Jianchachacha. · The attack is an ice machine; the recipient is a heat pack.
