My Beloved Is Xi Shi

This poor little story just needs a warning.

The quality of this story is not good, as you can probably tell from the number of bookmarks.

I wrote this story for two reasons. First, I thought the story was so sweet that I wanted to write it down. Second, I saw other writers plant several trees in a year, while I only planted one, and I wanted to plant a few more. So I thought I’d write a short story, a brief romance-focused piece.

People say that putting romance into a plot-driven story makes the romance awkward. I thought, no problem. As long as I’m not embarrassed, the readers will be the ones who feel awkward (just kidding). I never imagined that writing a short romance-focused story would turn into such a catastrophic ordeal.

Writing this story was harder than anything I’d ever done. Some days I only managed a thousand or so words. I’m not afraid of a challenge; the harder it is, the more determined I am to write it. I practically bashed my head against a brick wall to get this story written.

If it isn’t good, then it isn’t good. I’m a flop, so it’s normal for my writing to be bad. Besides, at least I planted a tree!
