Reborn, Not to Be a Virtuous Empress

As Ban Zhao wrote in "Admonitions for Women":

For a woman, humility and meekness come first. She must endure humiliation and hardship, always acting as though she is afraid.

Husband and wife come second. She must regard her husband as heaven itself, for this duty is no small matter.

Respect and caution come third. Men are prized for their strength, while women are admired for their weakness.

A woman's conduct comes fourth. She must never become a jealous shrew, a shrewish wife, or a foul-tempered hag.

Gao Xianshu spent her whole life as a virtuous empress. She was frugal and accommodating, knew how to put the greater good first, bore no jealousy or resentment, and helped her husband ascend the throne.

After being reborn, she resolved to live for herself.
