[Third-person narration throughout]
The person I hate most is Ji Rongli.
Ever since he came to live with us, he's taken all of Mom and Dad's attention.
Mom doesn't read me bedtime stories anymore. She goes to make Ji Rongli a late-night snack instead.
Dad doesn't build model kits with me anymore. He spends all day with Ji Rongli...
I hate Ji Rongli so much that I decide to make him leave.
But Mom says I'm a good kid and tells me to get along with my big brother.
So in front of Mom and Dad, I call Ji Rongli "Big Brother," sit with him at meals, and even share my little cake with him.
But when Mom and Dad aren't looking, I make him put my shoes on, put caterpillars in his drawer, and add salt to his milk, hoping he'll take the hint and leave.
But I'm also a little scared that Ji Rongli might tell Mom and Dad on me.
After thinking it over, I decide to find him and tell him not to say anything bad about me in front of Mom and Dad. But he's not in his room. There's only a notebook lying open on the desk.
Hmph, he's definitely written bad things about me in there. I angrily pick it up and read:
"Today, Jinjin shared just one popsicle with me, and called me Big Brother three times at dinner. How can my Jinjin be so adorable?"
Footsteps sound behind me.
"Jinjin, what are you reading?"
The notebook falls to the floor with a slap.
