Xu Qing died suddenly from working 996, only to be reborn as a little shark. Here, she has to swim day and night just to breathe, while also searching for food and avoiding predators. Before long, she discovers that this is a world of fantasy and magic, full of danger at every turn. To stay alive, she can only spend every day on tenterhooks.
But one day, a badly wounded woman grabs her out of the water. The woman is powerful, but Xu Qing uses her own abilities to foresee that she intends to eat her to build up her strength. Left with no choice, Xu Qing does everything she can to prove her worth. She gives up all her possessions, scouts ahead and hunts for treasures, and fusses over the woman, afraid that one bad mood might land her in a stewpot.
At last, when the woman's wounds have healed, Xu Qing thinks she can finally leave after completing her task. To her surprise, the terrifying woman grabs her and says, "You're mine. How can you leave?"
