Professor Snape's Unicorn

What's it like to date a unicorn covered in potion ingredients?

"Snape, look." The unicorn spirit showed off its beautiful mane to the human it loved.

Snape gave his honest appraisal: "Excellent potion ingredients."

The unicorn fell silent.

Not long afterward.

"Severus, how much more tail hair do you need? You can have all of mine!"

The potions master put on a pained expression. "I don't want to have to provide even more hair-growth potions and hair-smoothing potions just for these ingredients."

This is a story about a romance expert and a potions master. In 1969, Snape came across a unicorn in Spinner's End under mysterious circumstances. Years later, he had completely lost the freedom to skip washing his hair.
