Every Underclassman Is Scheming Beneath the Surface

As a new intern at the National Committee for Promoting Sports Among Primary and Secondary School Students, I was assigned an important task: to organize an inter-school sports exchange event. The biggest obstacle to my success was that each school only excelled at one sport. For example, Teiko's basketball team dominated the country, Hyotei's tennis team was famous far and wide, Namimori's baseball team had risen to prominence, and Teitan's soccer team was unbeatable. This wouldn't do. To complete my assignment, I decided to start with the club presidents at these schools. With the wisdom and tact of an adult five years older than them, surely I could handle a few middle schoolers, right? - A few months later, I realized I really couldn't handle them, and that I might even end up getting dragged into this myself. Akashi: "If you want me to work for you, senpai, you'll have to offer something of equal value in exchange, won't you?" Atobe: "Did you consider the consequences before trying to get something for nothing, hmm?" After I promised them both that I would agree to any one condition, the three of us sat down in the same conference room. Before we could start discussing the event plan, they both smiled and asked me at the same time: "Senpai, who is he?" [Reading Guide] 1. The age gap is real. The National Committee for Promoting Sports Among Primary and Secondary School Students is something I made up. It doesn't exist. 3. A sports anime mash-up. I just want to see all the sports anime characters face off in the same sports meet. 4. Blurb screenshotted on October 7, 2021.
