[Next book is underway. Basically, this is a silly comedy.]
Li Xing's perspective:
Li Xing thinks the famous Colonel Luo must have fallen for him.
Everyone says the colonel is busy with work, but every day he just stands nearby watching Li Xing train.
Everyone says the colonel has a great temper, but whenever he sees someone picking on Li Xing, he beats them up.
Everyone says the colonel is devoted to research, but he is always dragging Li Xing out to buy this and that.
When Li Xing says he wants to pursue the training base's most beautiful girl, the colonel's eyes go wide and he shouts angrily, "You dare?!"
Four years pass in a flash. At eighteen, Li Xing finally works up the courage to tell Luo Yuchen that he saw through his secret crush ages ago: "I... I like you too."
But the response he gets is
"I know."
And then
"Wait, what do you mean by 'too'?"
Luo Yuchen's perspective:
One day, Luo Yuchen passes through District Ten and sees someone doing good deeds in a shoddy homemade mech. Under the helmet is a tiny fourteen-year-old boy.
The boy has a rare genetic enhancement that gives him superhuman strength. To keep the wrong people from exploiting him, Luo Yuchen takes him away from District Ten.
The boy becomes his responsibility. He makes sure the boy trains every day and practices his ability, encourages him to fight back when he foolishly lets others bully him, and buys him clothes and a communicator so he won't live in such poverty and embarrass him.
As for dating, absolutely not! Studying hard is what matters!
After raising the boy to adulthood, Luo Yuchen finally lets out a sigh of relief, only to see him run over, eyes darting around and a shy smile on his lips. "I know you've had a crush on me!"
Uh... huh??
*1v1, chuunibyou, reserved and secretly flirtatious innocent puppy × handsome, rich, powerful, capable older man. A coming-of-age story, with the two of them constantly praising and doting on each other.
Warnings:
An 18-year age gap! 18 years! 18 years!
The main perspective is Li Xing's, and he is the seme. The younger man pursues the older one! Pursues him! Pursues him! But it's not actually one-sided. (If the older one makes the first move, it looks incredibly like he's up to no good, orz.)
Luo Yuchen has a past romantic relationship. Neither is sexually inexperienced!
[Bold and highlighted] Before Li Xing turns eighteen, any romantic tension is just a misunderstanding.
Theme: Love has nothing to do with status, money, or age. Love makes people better.
